Gorgeous Order: A Stunning Neoclassical Residential House

Creating a Symbiotic Relationship Between Man and Nature

Inspired by the classic concept of Neoclassical architecture, the Gorgeous Order residential house, designed by Lo Chung Yang, combines the elegance of the past with the functionality of modern living. This unique space embodies the homeowners' desire for a simple, natural, and healthy lifestyle, while showcasing the beauty of nature and sustainable design.

The design of Gorgeous Order is characterized by its emphasis on the symbiotic relationship between man and nature. Lo Chung Yang carefully selected building materials that promote a healthy and eco-friendly environment. Marble from eastern Taiwan, wire-brushed wood veneer, wood shutters, algae soil, and eco-friendly paint and furniture fabrics were extensively used throughout the house, reflecting the homeowners' advocacy for a simple and sustainable lifestyle.

The first floor of Gorgeous Order features a public area entirely paved with marble from Taiwan's eastern mountains, adding a touch of natural beauty to the space. The minimalist architecture, with its transparent materials, allows the interior to maintain a pristine and serene quality. The high-ceilinged structure creates a sense of grandeur and spaciousness, while the use of low-intensity colors and colored blocks adds a modern and stylish touch.

One of the design challenges faced by Lo Chung Yang was to maintain the momentum of the public area throughout the entire house. This was achieved through the use of marble, wood, and paint in the staircase, creating a visually stunning and harmonious transition between the floors. The high ceilings were intentionally preserved to create a sense of unlimited space and to allow the homeowners to feel connected to nature at every moment of their lives.

The design of Gorgeous Order also takes into consideration the surrounding natural scenery. The extensive use of glass in the building facade allows for breathtaking views of the outdoors, while the interior spaces are carefully arranged to maximize the connection with nature. The living room sofa faces the outdoor views, and the conventional TV wall is replaced by a lower TV main wall, creating a natural background that blends seamlessly with the surrounding environment.

From the building to the interior design, and even the grand garden landscape planning, every aspect of Gorgeous Order was meticulously crafted to create a harmonious and tranquil living space. The dwellers can enjoy the lush courtyard through the windows, providing a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the world.

The Gorgeous Order residential house, designed by Lo Chung Yang, is a testament to the beauty of Neoclassical architecture and sustainable design. It seamlessly combines the elegance of the past with the functionality of modern living, creating a space that promotes a symbiotic relationship between man and nature. This unique design has been recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award in 2019, showcasing its outstanding creativity and contribution to quality of life improvements.
